Dream House is a deeply emotional and visually evocative short film that follows the journey of Remma Beckett, a young woman who has carried the weight of her traumatic childhood in the foster care system into adulthood. The story unfolds as Rem encounters a mysterious sign in a cornfield, counting down the days she has remaining to enter the "Dream House"—a place that symbolizes the healing and peace she has always sought. Throughout her journey, Rem revisits painful memories: a rain-soaked car ride with a distracted caseworker, standing alone in front of yet another strange house, and moments of quiet reflection where she clings to a worn stuffed elephant, her only comfort from childhood. These memories are interwoven with her present-day struggles, such as grappling with panic attacks triggered by the trauma that still lingers just beneath the surface.
As the days tick down, Rem's journey becomes more intense, leading her to confront the darkest parts of her past, including the loss of her brother Martin, who appears as a comforting but fleeting presence.
